16 weeks

Ok, this looks way bigger in the picture than in real life!

Maternity clothes: Don’t feel like I need any yet.

Sleep: It hasn’t been too bad this past week. Once I’m out, I’m out!

Best moment this week: It would have been hearing our baby’s heart beat again this morning for our ob appointment, however they forgot to call us and let us know that the OB doc won’t be in. They waited until we showed up there all bright and early, and then they told us that we wouldn’t be seeing anyone today. Yeah, I was a bit POed, I won’t lie. So the actual best moment this week was realizing that we only have 5 months left! Yay!

Foods I love: I haven’t really been craving anything lately… I bought a big watermelon the other day though, and I am very excited about eating it today!

Foods I hate: Meat based products make me kind of sick.

Movement: Not yet, but any week now. I think I might cry the first time it happens. Yeah, I’m that kind of girl nowadays.

Gender: Hopefully we’ll find out in a little over 2 weeks! I am just dying to know!

Labor signs: None of that , thank you…

Belly Button in or out: In… ALL the way IN.

What I miss: Nothing, really! I’ve still been kind of nauseous and threw up a few times this week, but nothing compared to the early stages. I’m just very happy with where I’m at right now!

Weekly wisdom: “Patience is the companion of wisdom.” ~St. Augustine

Milestones: This little love is four months old! Only Five more to go! I CAN DO THIS!

A nursery for our little pilot

Last week I posted my ideas for what I would want our little girl's room to look like, which you can find here in case you've missed it. Finding things for a girl's room felt effortless and oh so much fun for me. However, I had a WAY harder time doing the same thing for our little (potential) man. I think part of it also has to do with the fact that I wanted a "sailor" theme and my hubby really wants it to be an "airplane" theme. I told him from the beginning that if it's a boy he can have it his way (with some guidance and an approved seal from me of course), so we'll end up with the airplane theme if it's a little boy. HOWEVER... how cute is this Pottery Barn "sailor room"????? I love it! I really like the striped wall, which is what we'll do no matter the theme!

And wouldn't this look just adorable on his wall??!?!!
However, if I still can't get my way, I found this cute airplane bedding at pottery barn that would be perfect for our little pilot...
And this cute thing also at Pottery Barn which wouldn't look bad on his wall either
For final touches, I found this awesome plane-shaped light that is a bit expensive, but how neat would it look in our little aviator's room! So what do you think? And I'm curious about what themes you picked for your children's rooms as well... Don't be shy! Give a sister some advice! Happy Monday!

15 Week Miracle

Maternity Clothes: Not quite yet

Sleep: great during night time, however when I come back from work in the morning and try to sleep during day time, I wake up after just a few hrs.

Foods I love: Cold oranges, and watermelon

Foods I hate: Foods that have meat still taste kind of weird.

Movement: Hopefully in just two short weeks!

Gender: I can hardly wait until July 16th when we find out!

Labor signs: Nope!

What I miss: For the first time ever… NOTHING! My nausea has been getting a whole lot better, and I only threw up once this week! I’m also not feeling nauseous all.day.long. which is an amazing feeling! I’ve been feeling so great that I stopped taking the compazine this week! Yay for that!

Weekly Wisdom: Enjoy the simple pleasures in life

Milestones: I’ve stopped taking my nausea meds! Also she/he is 4inches long or the size of a Kit-Kat bar… That’s not much, but a whole lot more than what we’ve started with! This little love also has a neck this week! Small things make me so excited nowadays!

Baby girl nursery

For the last few months I've been just obsessing with nursery decor for our sweet little love! I've gathered a whole bunch of ideas, but honestly, for me it's ten times easier to find decor and ideas for a baby girl rather than for a little handsome man. I've decided that I was going to post my nursery ideas for both a baby girl and a little boy, and than we'll see what I'll have to pick once we find out the gender in a few weeks...
This is a Pottery Barn kids crib that I fell in love with way before I got pregnant! I just love the shape and form of this thing, and you can turn it into a toddler bed later on as well! But since it seems like I would have to sell a kidney first before I buy all my furniture from Pottery Barn, we came with an alternative solution. My brother in law is AMAZING at making anything from wood, and he agreed to make it for us! I am super excited about this, and can't wait to see the final result! Oh, and how cute is the rest of this room? Love!
This dresser/changing table is also from Pottery Barn kids and I really hope I can find something similar to it for a lower price! Obviously both the crib and dresser can be used for a boy's room as well.
I had the hardest time finding crib bedding for both girls and boys that I absolutely love, but I really like this one. For a baby girl's nursery, our theme is birds, and my heart skipped a few beats when I saw this one, because it has little birds on it! I really do like it a whole lot!

I found this fabric pattern at Jo-Ann's and I think that I could make really cute curtains from it. It would go really well with the green color I plan on painting the room, and also with the little decor accents.
And here are a few bird inspired decor accents and ideas... I think this one is soo cute!
... and those bird cages are adorable also.

My other brother in law is a really good artist and he agreed to paint a tree on our wall, and I absolutely LOVE this one! Oh, and I also really love the bedding in this picture, but have no idea where I can find it.
So here you have it! I don't know how many of those things will actually end up in my little girl's room ( that's even if it is a girl) but I really would like to include as many of them as possible.
I hope you're all having a beautiful Monday!

Dear Summer

Summer...
you're here to tickle my toes with your warm golden sand...
... and spoil me with refreshing ocean waves....
...you make me stop and take time to smell the roses when the world around me is chaos, and I love you for that....
....yes, you make me wonder how great it would be to wake up to the fresh pastry smell on a sunny Parisian morning...
... and how the Venetian nights would just take my breath away...
...you make dancing in the rain an unforgettable adventure...
...and the romance between my love and I so much more passionate..
Summer...you are and will always be one of my first loves...

Second Trimester!

How far along: 14 weeks, and 1 day!

Maternity clothes: Not yet, but I find myself unbuttoning my jeans a lot lately…haha

Sleep: No complains! It’s been great!

Best moment this week: Hanging out with my family and looking at baby stuff with my momma.

Foods I love: Oranges are my newfound love and watermelon.

Foods I hate: This is kind of strange, but foods with meat have been tasting really weird lately. So meat is not on my most favorite list for now.

Movement: About 3 more weeks! I can’t wait!

Gender: We just found out that our ultrasound will be on July 16th. I can’t wait! I still think it’s a little baby girl.

Labor signs: Hopefully not for a while.

What I miss: Feeling completely normal and not being scared of being nauseous. However, I think I’ve been feeling a bit better lately, and eating a whole lot more!

Weekly wisdom: Enjoy the little things with your loved ones.

Milestones: I’m officially in my SECOND TRIMESTER! I’ve been waiting for this part of the pregnancy, and I’m so excited it’s finally here! I’m 1/3 of the way done! That’s a great reason to celebrate!

Family time

Our few days off in Arizona were so great, especially for me, since I got to see my family and spend lots of time with my mommy whom I just love to death! This was such a much needed break and the only sad part is that it's all coming to an end. We're leaving early tomorrow morning, and the next time I get to see my parents will be in December when my sweet little love will be born. I honestly have never wanted December to come around this badly in my whole entire life! Can it be here already???!!!
Anyway, back to my Arizona story... We've done a whole bunch of fun things, and I'm soo sad that I have to leave it all and go back to work on Wednesday. We went mini golfing on Friday night, saw Mt. Lemon on Saturday, went for a walk and had Starbucks on Sunday, and had a ate lots of yummy food. I even had Arabic food which I've been craving for a really long time!
Brandon and I before we went mini-golfing
The family minus my brother
My mommy and I (notice how she's holding my belly..haha)
My little teenage brother who's not that little anymore
On Mt. Lemon covered by cacti
I think I need one weekend like this at least once a month....

A fabulous week...

We're finally in Arizona! It's been WAY too long (December) since I've seen my family, and we're finally together again! This week is all about spending time with my momma and the rest of the family....
eating lots of yummy food...
... and doing lots, and lots of shopping!

I hope your week is just as fabulous as mine is about to get!

13 Week Miracle...

It is getting a little bigger, but it's still hardly noticeable with clothes on.

How far along: 13 Weeks!
Total weight gain: Still just one pound.
Maternity Clothes: Nope. But I’m getting so excited about it! I’m going to see my family in Arizona this week, and I already know my mommy has a whole bunch of cute maternity stuff for me that I can’t wait to try on.
Sleep: Better. I’m able to sleep most of the night.
Best Moment this week: My baby can make a fist and suck his or her thumb this week! How stinking cute is that! I’m also super excited about seeing my family in just a few days!
Foods I love: Cherries, watermelon, and Arabic food! Yum!
Foods I hate: I’ve been trying to want some Chinese food for a while, but each time I think about it, it makes me feel sick. So I guess Chinese food is a no-no at this point in time. (insert sad face)
Movement: Supposedly she/he moves all around there, but she’s so tiny that I don’t feel a thing. Hopefully in just 4-5 weeks I will!
Gender: I’m still thinking it’s a sweet little girl! We’ll find out after July 12th.
Labor signs: None of those for a while, thankyouverymuch!
Belly Button in or out: In! The day I’ll see it out it will be a miracle!
What I miss: I still miss the same thing I missed last week… Not feeling sick, taking those nausea pills, and just being able to eat what I want when I want it.
Milestones: I'm almost 1/3 done! That’s such exiting news!

Water Park Fail

I've been wanting to go to this water park for WEEKS. I've been begging and begging the hubby to go for about one month, so finally, today was THE DAY! I got sooo excited as I packed our little bag; the sun was shinning, and the day was absolutely gorgeous. We got there and payed $10 for a parking spot and another $12 for a locker (we already had a pass for the park), and we were on our way to a great adventure... or so we though. As we were waiting in line for our very first ride, after about 10 minute I started feeling soo nauseous and my head was just spinning. I passed out once before, and I was starting to get the exact same feeling once again. I mean I was seeing black and getting that tunnel vision and I knew it was time to just get out of there. So about $24 and 30 minutes later, our great adventure for the day came to an end, and we had to leave the park. I guess being pregnant kind of messes with your plans at times. Still, I wouldn't change it for the world. I have such a sweet husband though, that he wasn't even upset and he took me to Starbucks to make me feel better. At least I got a decaf iced caramel machiato out of it!
I hope your Sunday was a lot more exciting than mine! Happy Weekend!

Little 12 week Miracle

How far along: 12 weeks and 1 day.

Total weight gain: I guess only one pound from last visit. My NP was very happy with that since I lost 5 pounds about 2 weeks ago. Keeping food down was a real hassle!

Maternity Clothes: Not yet, but I am really looking forward to that day!

Sleep: Better than before… I usually only wake up once during the night, and lately I’ve been able to sleep more than 5-6 hrs. (This used to be a HUGE problem before).

Best moment this week: Hearing this little love’s heart beat again. It is now beating strong in the 160s.

Foods I love: I have been eating lots of cherries! I love cherries and watermelon now!

Foods I hate: This is a hard one because nowadays it changes every week. But at least there are foods I CAN eat… a few weeks ago, toast was the only thing I could tolerate.

Movement: Not for another six weeks I think. But I get butterflies in my tummy just thinking about it.

Gender: We won’t find out until the sonogram which is supposed to be after July 12, but I have a very strong feeling it’s a little baby girl. Brandon thinks it’s a boy. We both stick to our stories so we’ll see who wins.

Labor signs: No thank you! Hopefully none for another 26 weeks.

Belly Button in or out: I don’t see this thing every coming out, it’s so far in…

What I miss: Not being so darn nauseous all the time, not having to throw up, and not having really bad headaches. But it’s been getting a lot better. The nausea meds also help, and the farther along I get, the less nauseous I feel. Before it used to be so bad that I couldn’t eat or drink anything but toast and crackers. I’m glad to say I’ve graduated from that…

Weekly wisdom: Follow your heart and do what you think it’s best no matter how much others try to guilt you into doing something else…

Milestones: Making it to almost the second trimester! By the end of next week I will be one third done with this! I am so stinking excited about that!
