Let's party!

I L.O.V.E SUMMER! And everything it has to bring... especially all kinds of party ideas. As I was contemplating on all the types of parties I could have as soon as I move closer to where our friends and family are, I though I should share some of them with you, and maybe you'll get inspired too...

You could have outdoor hay parties. No, they are not just for fall, and yes they could be absolutely fabulous!

Big bright flowers make gorgeous center pieces, and lemons can be the perfect place cards.
Summer and parties make for a great excuse to overload on s'mores...
... super yummy grilled food...
... and of course ICE CREAM
You could also have an all girls book, gossip, or just a "just because party" that consists of finger foods and all kinds of drinks ...
Like lemonade...
... summer martinis (for all you non-prego drinkers)...
... and refreshing watermelon juices...
You could also have a Hoedown party with all your friends and loved ones...

.... that can include simple yummy food...
... dancing, and just a plain good 'ol time!

Now all that's left for me to do is wish you a super happy Memorial Day, Happy Summer, and Happy Partying!

The news... The BIG news

Yes, you probably guessed it! But if you haven't yet, it won't take you long until you do!

One very early morning after coming back from work, I peed on what is probably going to be the most important stick I ever pee on, and instead of showing me one line, it came up with TWO!!! It literarily took my breath away. My hands were shaking as I was frantically trying to find a second one that would just confirm what the first one was telling me: I was going to be a mommy!!!! Holly cow!!! I was soooo surprised!!! Don't get me wrong, it was planed, but I got so many "one liner" sticks in the past few months, that when those two just showed up, it was so unexpected and crazy and beautiful that I could hardly breathe!

I was going to even take a third one right than and there, but I couldn't since I was out of pee (too much info?) by this point. So I had to wait, and later on that day I needed to take one that would actually tell me the words! And it did!

Since than I've been mostly miserable with the all-day-sickness, the headaches, the lack of sleep, and many other symptoms that I truly wish were not part of the process. However, overall I've been soo happy and soo grateful that God kept both of us safe, and that this pregnancy is going great so far! God's been wonderful and he truly answers prayers! Now I've reached my 11 week mark, and am excited about the second trimester to start since I hear that's the best part of the pregnancy!

So there you have it! Some of the biggest news I've ever had, and I love that I get to share it with all of you lovelies! I will definitely keep you posted on how this is progressing, and I just have a feeling that you'll see quite a few posts about this in the near future! I don't plan on making this a baby blog, however this is such a huge part of my life now, that I just have to document it and share it with everyone!

Starting over

Yes, I'm starting over. At least as far as blogging goes! I know I've been M.I.A. for the past few months, but I was just having a really hard time handling working 12 hour night shifts, sleep, family and anything in between. I cannot express how much I've missed it and how often I have thought about just sharing my life with the rest of this world. Actually, even though I have not been blogging, I've still been keeping up with a whole bunch of your blogs, and lives.

Either way, I'm back, and I'm here to stay. I won't promise daily blogs, but I do feel like I got a better handle of my schedule and time, so I should have at least a few postings a week. I am so overly excited to be back and reconnect with all of you fabulous ladies and I truly hope you all feel the same way!
